GIFTS OF GOD

An intimate celebration of life, "Gifts Of God" was created during the artist's deep recovery from complicated cervical surgery. Confined to her home and immobilized, the artist's once-beloved space became a nighttime prison, symbolizing both physical and emotional captivity.

During this period of vulnerability and fear, her sense of femininity and autonomy felt violated, with power and freedom slipping away. Set in the height of summer in Jaffa, the series emerged after a poignant moment where the simple act of buying grapes became a vital expression of life. Grapes, with their sweet crispness, represent passion, pleasure, and abundance, serving as metaphors for self-love, abundance, and gratitude.

The series features the artist intertwined with fruit, within the intimate confines of her home and the sheets that framed her recovery. Each piece delves into the meaning and celebration of life, posing existential questions and offering a profound interpretation of deeper life aspects.
